Martin Romero
Owner/Lead Instructor

Martin Romero was a three year varsity letterman in baseball and a four year letterman in football for Fort Collins High School.  He led his baseball team in stolen bases and on base percentage and received All Conference and All State Honors in football.  He went on to play football at UNM, competed in three bowl games, earned a scholarship after two years , and earned academic All Conference honors.  After college Romero made his home in New Mexico with his wife Elaine Romero who was a cheerleader at UNM and now a Pharmacist.  Romero is now a proud member of the Rio Rancho

Fire Department, has a Bachelors degree in Education, and is a certified personal trainer with continuing education specializing in speed, agility, and quickness.  Elite Fitness seeks to build the character and skill of athletes.  Martin & Elaine are blessed with two year old twin boys and another boy on the way.  Romero seeks to use Elite Fitness as another avenue to give back to the community.

Other Instructors include former Division I & Division II Athletes, and competitive athletes from various backgrounds.

Story:
Former Lobo football player trains local athletes to be champions

Martin Romero grew up in Fort Collins, Colo., the home of the Colorado State Rams.

He dreamed of playing football for the Rams, and why not? He was an all-conference running back for Fort Collins High, gaining 960 yards on the ground as a junior and 1,1250 yards, to go with 13 touchdowns, as a senior.
